YSoA Assembly Pavilion
The YSoA Assembly Pavilion attempts to renew the role of architect as master builder in the age of digital fabrication. The team conceived the project, raised funding, designed, fabricated, and installed a temporary structure for the New Haven Festival of Arts & Ideas on the New Haven Green in 2012.
The web structure composed entirely of anodized aluminum directly engages pedestrians through the transformation from a completely opaque to a completely transparent object depending on one’s position in the common space.
